I just got a flier from LTP and the new Year of Grace 2010 liturgical calendar features the artwork of Franco Vignazia and is absolutely beautiful!
Franco Vignazia is the illustrator of many of the Inos Biffi books and I personally very much like his art very much. It has an almost iconic look to it.
Just wanted to share.

Oh, I'm so looking forward to 2010!!!!!!!!! I love his illustrations, and so does ds! We use the Inos Biffi books quite frequently.
Now, where is my flyer!?

I'm planning to buy the laminated one and cut out the calendar section when it's done to use for years to come when they have ugly or strange artwork as they often do.
Actually I might buy several. . .

Oh thank you Michele! I love Vignazia's art and it will go marvelously in our new dining room! HOw exciting to have one I WANT to buy!
Never even thought of cutting out one I like and fitting the new circle in when it's less than stellar ! [Tim, we really need a "whack on the head" emoticon! ]

This is really beautiful, but since it is a circle, do you have to turn upside down to read the bottom part, or does the middle of it "spin"? That would make more sense to me. Hmmm...maybe if it doesn't, I should buy two, and use the circular section of the extra calendar to laminate and make a "spinning circle" so we don't have to read upside down.
Thanks for sharing that, Michele!

I think that would work well Patty. You'd want to be sure to cut out the part with the seasons too (Ordinary Time etc.) GREAT idea!

Not quite sure what you mean. Aren't the church seasons on the middle circular part of the calendar? Am I missing something? The circle part is what I would cut out and laminate.

The months are on the inner circle the season are on the outer most edge of the circle and there's a nice little line between them and the dates. I could see me cutting right along that line and forgetting them so that's why I pointed it out!
