I wanted to share a product that I am VERY satisfied with. I am SO IMPRESSED with the content of this..
We really like the ideas from the ROSARY QUILT
The book has some amazing ideas in it, especially for little ones, but it is also quite challenging for adults. The method was inspired by St. Louis de Montfort's first method of praying the Rosary, complete with the original virtues he connected with each Mystery.
Now the e-book is available, so you can save A LOT of money. If money is an issue, you don't actually NEED the quilt (you can make your own or improvise with something similar). You don't NEED the workbook either. So for $9 you get an AWESOME manual. The workbook is nice, as is the quilt if you can afford it, though. If you have any questions, I found that the people who make the program are extremely helpful.

Christine, the manual sounds very interesting. Can you give us an idea of how the manual is different in terms of activities that are recommended from what might be recommended in other books on meditating with children or praying the rosary with children? I'm trying to stay in budget, but this item is very tempting. Is it geared more to the under 6 crowd?

The quilt part is geared toward the under 6 crowd, I'd say. It's to help them pray quietly and remain focused during the praying of the rosary. The manual, on the other hand, is geared (in my opinion) to all ages. I find myself learning a lot as I go. The workbook's coloring pages are for the younger set, but the pages for writing are for all ages.
The book starts with a few how-to chapters regarding the making of and using of the rosary quilt. Then there are the mysteries with a quick summary of the mysteries in one section followed by a more detailed (about 3 pages per mystery) explaination of each mystery.
I'll give you an example decade without going into too much detail (I don't want to break any copyrights or anything).
"The Visitation is contemplated for the fruit of charity toward our neighbor...."
Sample activities for the Visitation:
"See who in your family can give away the most number of smiles...."
"What does 'In charity there is no excess' mean?...."
"If charity begins in the home, how can you show charity towards people in your family?...."
"Being charitable to our neighbor can also mean giving people the 'benefit of the doubt' Discuss...."
There are 8 other activities suggested (including pro-life ideas).
Examples of charity towards our neighbor:
Matthew 26:6-13 is there with a great explaination and discussion starters, as well as a comparason to Luke 22:3-6.
One other Bible verse is there with more explanation and discussion.
Blessed Mother Teresa - with a great story and explanation of why she is a good example.
One other Saint is mentioned with explanation.
The material for this decade ends with a list of 5 suggested Bible verses for memorization.
ALL the decades have this much detail and some have more.
