In case you were thinking of Christmas gifts, Feast Day Cookbook by Katherine Burton, and Helmut Ripperger has been reprinted in time for Christmas. This was one of the first American liturgical year cookbook done in 1951. The only I've found that predates it is my favorite, Cooking for Christ by Florence Berger.

I like this cookbook because of the information it provides, historical info about the older traditions and customs attached to feasts, including some weather poems and such. I usually adapt or find other similar recipes after I get ideas from this book.

But while I'm here, I thought I'd also pass along some other books. I haven't read these, but am asking for Christmas for myself. I especially love Father Vincent McNabb, and this memoir looks so great! Catholic Authors Press reprints. The vestments book looks like it would be great to use for Home Ec, and the Chivalry would fit in nicely with medieval studies, too!
