Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

As we are preparing for Advent in our home, I revisited Serendipity's Jesse Tree Lessons. What a treasure they are! Just a reminder for anyone who might be looking for something to do with their kids this Advent season.

Wow, thanks for passing this along as a lovely reminder. I'm now going to pass it along again to my wonderful daughters to use with their own children, my sweet grandbabes. ('')

Does anyone have a link to purchase the craft kit for the ornaments on Elizabeth's Jesse tree?

Bumping this up because I was *just* looking through the Serendipity Jesse Tree lessons and got confused. I came here and did a search for "Jesse Tree" and came upon this thread.

My question: The serendipity lessons have 35 days of symbols and scripture passages... how does that work?? Am I completely missing something?    Do you double up some days to finish on Christmas day? Or do you schedule it out and end after Christmas day? Is it somehow related to the O Antiphons??

I feel like I'm missing something obvious here , but maybe others have the same question. I guess I assumed that there was one symbol/scripture per day of Advent.

Thanks in advance for the help!

The number of days for the activity are based on the calendar, so every year will be different. Advent can vary from 22 to 28 days. We've read more than one story on some days. We try to finish on Christmas Day.

Gosh! Were those ornaments handmade? They are so lovely! If they can be purchased, please point to where!
