Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I do have advent candles, but no wreath. In Germany I would wrap branches of fir or pine around a bast base for a wreath and fix the candles on that. Here in S. FL I fir trees are not in abundance
What do you all use for your wreath?

Hey Stephanie!

Here in even further south FL, I made a tiny wreath out of 4 seashells a few years ago. We it so! You can see photos here. Being in a house you could go larger, just visit a shell shop for great ideas. Dd really liked the glittered sea anemone shells but they were too large for our base so we've stuck with our original scallop shells through the years. Make certain to read Mary M's comments at the post, very insightful.

I have used votive candles in large wine glasses (salt is nice for setting them into).. and then tie a ribbon on the stem of the glass, include a sprig of greenery in the ribbon or not.

I needed something that was smaller in diameter than the typical wreath but when we set them on the table we can set them in a wreath shape.

Jennifer and Jodie, you have both given me some ideas....I have short taper candles, so I need to think things through. Thank you!
I am still eager to hear how others create their wreaths.

I have one that's made of a ring of artificial roses.
