Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a question that I have never been sure about...

Once a month on Thursdays, there is a homeschoolers mass in a nearby town that I like to take the kids too. Also, every Thursday night our family goes to mass at our parish. Is it 'legal' to receive communion twice in one day? (I know 'legal' is not the right word, but you all kwim.)

We were told, that as long as you were participating fully in both Masses, then yes. You may not have the opinion that by doing so, you were holier, etc.

DH ran sound at our old parish, and would often be there for more than one Mass, and we asked more than one priest, and they all said the same thing.

I think 2 is the max, but yes it's allowed.

Ditto What Laura said!
We were giving pulpit talks once and went to five Sunday masses. We only missed communion at one mass because we did not fully participate (we came in just for the talk). Our priest was fine with this.

In addition to what Jen said, the second reception of Communion must be at a Mass(i.e. not at a Communion Service).
