We just started back-to-school last week and you can imagine my surprise on THURSDAY when I opened Catholic Mosaic planning to plot out the semester and discovered that we were one day away from Mother Teresa's day. We scooted on over to the Library and checked out the book (My son noted that "We read that book last year!") and I racked my brain, trying to figure out how to celebrate Mother Teresa on short notice.
What we ended up doing... a dinner of Indian food with a reading from some of Mother Teresa's writings about Peace. It was especially nice because we had my son's friend and his dad stay for dinner after a play date. They are Buddhist.
So, just wanted to share a simple idea for next year, if anyone finds herself in the same spot...break out the curry :-).
