Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a question for those who have(or know about...) CHC's Devotional Stories For Little Folks.

In the sequel, are the DC older?

Thanks!

In the first story of the "too" book...

Seth is nearly 10, Meg is 8, Greg is 6, and Becca is 4

hope that helps,

Can I piggyback here?

How exactly do you use this book? Mine should be here today, and I was thinking about reading a story a week as part of our schooltime, but not really sure how to work it in. I got to look at it at a conference recently, and really like it, but not sure where to start. Thanks!

Aubrey - You can piggyback!

I read DSFLF and DSFLF too during our morning family time. We gather for morning prayers and then all sit down to picture book time and Catholic Mosaic time. All of my children love this time equally! After picture book time, we read in Devotional Stories..., or another book (maybe Stories of the Child Jesus or Catholic Tales for Boys and Girls or St. Patrick's Summer or any number of others) discuss and share about the story and then move on with our day.

HTH!

We used this book in what we called "devotion time" - to start our school day. We would read a story from here or from Stories to Learn By and then say a decade of the rosary together before continuing on with our schoolwork. By "we" I mean I would read outloud to my ds7 :) Now that his reading level is higher - I may pull it out again and have him read outloud to me. My ds7 really enjoyed these books.
