I got notice on another list that Ann Ball passed away yesterday from a heart attack. You might recognize her name from the many books she wrote (Catholic Traditions series, Modern Saints, Catholic Book of the Dead...) and were published by Our Sunday Visitor.

There is no information on her website yet. She will be missed. Please pray for the repose of her soul.

Praying for this devout soul! I remember pouring over her Modern Saints book during my conversion; what an inspiration. I was so moved by Bl. Miguel Pro's story that I took him as my Confirmation name.

I will be praying for her and her family at this time. Her books on the Modern Saints were some of the first my husband and I bought at the beginning of our faith. I still turn to them time and time again for inspiration. I also am enjoying her book on Catholic traditions in the home. May she find eternal rest in the arms of Christ Jesus.
