I don't know what I want, exactly -- and I can't come up with anything right now (sleep deprivation for the last year or so...)
Something we can post prayer requests to and change as people ask us to pray for them...but that the kids 12-6yr olds put together themselves so that it's something they want to refer to.
I don't know if I want a bulletin board on posterboard, or an 8x11 cardstock....or .... I don't know.
Any ideas??
Jenn

Oh, Anne's MM Craft was the one that came to my mind, too! It is so symbolic.
Another idea is a large poster (or cover a door - which is what we did). It was just blue for the sky and then a brown tree. We had a seasonal theme - intentions on colored leaves for fall, regulr leaves for summer, buds for spring and we did snowflakes for winter and said we were "storming heaven" with our prayers.

I made this decoration for the month of November to help us remember to pray for the poor souls in Purgatory. I could easily see something like it as a permanent fixture holding prayer cards or cards with intentions written on them.

We have a terracotta planter that we fill with stones that we have written prayer intentions on. I just use a metallic Sharpie marker to write the person's name or intention. We pull a stone out of the pot and pray -- then leave that stone on the plate (I bought a plate that was much bigger than the pot needed - does that make sense?) Every once in a while I put the stones back in the pot, or remove ones that are no longer needed.
I also have a candle in the middle of the pot -- a tall glass votive type that we sometimes light during prayer, but not always.
It's a quick & easy thing for us to use. My intention is to paint the pot and maybe decoupage with religious images, but we haven't done that yet.

I would like to have a special box and write prayer intentions on a index cards. Ideally the box wold be very pretty and decorative. I love the stones idea, but with many nosy Nellies around (friends and family) we need something a bit more private.

WE use a 12 x 12 ceramic tile on a wooden easel. We trimmed it with pretty ribbon and attached a dry erase marker. It looks nice and works beautifully.

I really like the stones in the terracotta planter idea! I'm going to try to remember that one as a summer project.

Ohhhh....that does sound nice -- do you have a picture of it? I'd really like to seeyour idea!!!
I sort of finked out and ended up doing this for the time being -- just a poster the intentions are attached with poster putty so we can change them out easier than tape.
Thank you for all the ideas -- I love how each family does something so very unique to their family.
