My two youngest just created their own "cheerio rosary" . They are priceless.
We used yarn, cheerios, and construction paper. Tied knots in the yarn and strung the cheerios. They each drew a crucifix (the most precious faces of a sorrowful Jesus that I have ever seen) cut it out and tied it on the end.
It was good for my 6yo to review how many times we say the Our Father and how many Hail Marys there are !!! He also talked about 5 groups of 10 . I guess that math is sinking in.

This is such a great idea. It gave me an idea for a slight variation as well - what about a temp rosary that they could eat? It wouldn't even be strung. Just line up the Cherrios in groups of 10 with a different cereal (like Kix or Chex) between for the Our Father. Then as each prayer is said the little person could eat one piece of cereal and follow along that way. Now that is if there wouldn't be objection to eating while praying. I think it could help keep a little ones interest and focus.
