Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just found this the other day, and meant to post it here. Thanks for posting it! I hadn't seen it, and it looks to be a great resource!

I recently purchase the Works of Mercy one. It looks really good. I hope to use it this summer some.

God bless,
Christine

Hi! I'm new here and new to lapbooking. I noticed you have seven children and you mentioned purchasing the Works of Mercy lapbook....do you have to purchase one per child or how would you use it with all children? I have four boys, and I'd like to get all three lapbooks listed on the website, but that could get kind of expensive.
Thank you!!
Christie

The lapbooks are downloads, so you can print them out for your children--as many copies as you want! So one per topic per family is all you would need to purchase.

Yep, that's how I understand it too. I am always checking copyrights of things I purchase to be sure it is family copyright. If not, it is WAY too expensive to buy one per child! Thank God for publishers who understand the need for the family copyright

God bless,
Christine

Thanks, Kirsten, for posting about this. I ordered the Catholic Prayers lapbook and the Works of Mercy lapbook, and they both look great. They are each over 100 pages, with lots of good projects to choose from.

I'm so glad some entrepreneurial mom decided to take this on--I'm happy to pay $8.00 for a solid Catholic lapbooking project!

Thank you so much for pointing out this site Kristen, I hadn't come across it before. I've ordered Catholic prayers and my two oldest have started a lap book each based on it, I'm very impressed. I've read about lapbooks for a while but didn't know where to begin so this has been a wonderful introduction. I'm looking forward to the Rosary one that will be coming out later.
many thanks
Theresa

We have bought the Seven Sacraments and Prayers lapbook . Well worth the $8 . I can't complain because most lapbooks cost well over $20 and can be used for only a short time .

The creator of the website is also taking requests . So if you don't see something there you would like to do you can email her and let her know .

I ordered these lapbooks too, and they look really great. I don't know about you, but I have been waiting for a long time for a mom to do some Catholic Lapbooks! Can't wait to see what is to come.

And, I love the price. Am I the only one who thinks eproducts should cost less than their printed counterpart? About 1/2 seems right to me, since I bear the cost of printing, binding and so on. I know some like to read it on-screen, but I have to have it in my hands

Does anyone else have problems with the impulse factor involved in ebooks?

Yes and no. I get a lot of free stuff "just in case," but I rarely buy anything. The problem is, because it's free it's usually not something I actually need--at least not right away--so it sits on my computer, taking up hard drive space. The eproducts I've bought I've been very happy with:

1. Catholic Lapbooks
2. History Scribe
3. Ancients Notebooking
4. A membership to the Ultimate Homeschooling Expo

I also bought the HITW Historical Figures set on cd, which I love and am looking forward to using next year.

Bumping this to ask a question.

I just stumbled upon these lapbooks and was wondering if it is possible to change the language on them before printing them out.???
I mean change the English to German. If so, is it worth it?

Stephanie, I'm pretty sure they are only available in English.

They are all in English, however, each component comes with the option of using blank lined pages for it. So, the shape of the component pages is the same and the picture is the same, but there is an option of writing in your own text. The front of each piece would still be in English, though. We love these.

Anita, do you think it is worth it, if I need to type in the texts myself in German? What makes these lapbooks so helpful for families? Is it the patterns themselves or that everything is already printed????

I don't think the PDF will allow you to type into it. The lined pages are for the student to fill in. I like the fact that all the thinking and creating has been done for me. She really has included all the information and lots of options. She is also very creative and has included wonderful artwork and little extras, like quotes from saints, that I probably would never think of on my own. All the components are well-thought out. Some of them are really complex.

You could probably put something together on your own, of course, but these are very complete. I just print out the pages I want my dc to work on and away we go.

With the language issue, I'm not sure it would be worth it for you. If I were in your shoes, I'd have to think about it a bit, because the cover words and fronts to all the booklets will still be in English, even if you or the kids use the blank lined pages to fill in.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your decision.

Anita
