Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Have any of you had a liturgical theme for the Liturgical Year that you drew in for all the seasons, including decorations and crafts and prayers, and perhaps drew into the school year that recurring theme?

I can see several areas where you could around the years a theme, and I don't mean intangible like charity or a saying, but something like the theme of Light, or like CGS brings the Good Shepherd throughout the year.

If you did this, how did the children respond? Was there continued enthusiasm or burnout?

I got all excited seeing a potential theme for the year, with various offshoots depending on the season, but just wondered at other family's experiences.

Jenn--I have not done this myself but would be interesting in fleshing out the concept further. I'm interested to see what comes up here or to talk about it more. PM me if you like.

Hmmm...this is an interesting thing to ponder. I've not done it, but would also love to hear from people if they have.
