Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I would love to be able to put up small or large art of Saints/Feast Days to go along with the liturgical calendar to use as a visual along with other learning aids. Any recomendations or a daily Saint Feast Day in Art sort of calendar or picture study?

Saints: A Year in Faith and Art is a book that has been recommended here and here. It is a beautiful book and idea-wise would be perfect for what you want but the format might not work for you since you can't really display the art.

This is what we do:

Liturgical Calendar with the Saints part 1

Liturgical Calendar with the Saints part 2

if you have this calendar and what the sheets of saints images for the whole year, just pm me and give me your email address and I will email you the 12 pages of images for the year.

God Bless, Anne

I too display pictures for feast days and saint days. I just go onto the internet, do a google search, and print out the appropriate images. When I take the images down, I put them in a folder and they're ready to go for next year.

I usually print out several images that are very different. I use the different pictures of the same event (for exampe the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple) to explain to my kids that there were no photographs of the actual event and that different artists have envisioned the event in different ways.    I then have them look for similarities in the pictures (for example, almost all the images of the Presentation have two doves somewhere in the picture). Frequently, we will get out the Bible and read the story to see what images are set forth in the Bible.

Hope this helps.

P.S. - In the event this makes me appear incredabily organized and makes you overwhelmed, please keep in mind that is usually done the night before the feast day or maybe even the morning of
