Funny you should ask as I was just about to post about something we've started this year for Advent. My mom (who lives with us) had gotten a copy of the booklet, What Shall We Name Him? and gave it to me for the kids. Each day of Advent, there is a different name of Jesus, with an explanation, a short prayer, and then a discussion/activity.
We had just finished the 6th name, so I had each of the littles do 2 names (one on each 5x8 sheet of paper) and we'll do this at the end of each week so we'll have a whole book of Jesus names by the end of Advent.
Nothing fancy, but if we're interested in further info we can find out more ...

Help. I clicked the link and it says the item is no longer available. Do you know if it is available somewhere else?
Wasn't there also an online Names of Jesus unit?
Thanks so much.

We may do this in January since the month is dedicated to the Holy Name of Jesus.
Thank you for sharing the link.

Here is a Word Document I did last year. It's a background with the various names of Jesus. We used it for a background for a card and put a picture of Jesus overlapped on the front in the center.

It could have various uses for crafts. I'm thinking small banner or background for a grotto/shadowbox with a statue of Jesus in it. You could vary the size by changing the font sizes.

You guys are so great!!
Amanda, that unit study was exactly what I was looking for. I have printed it out.
Michaela, thank you so much for the idea to use the Names of Jesus unit study in January. What a great idea. I was kind of mourning the fact that I didn't have it ready in time for Advent, but using it in January works even better for me.
And Mary, I have downloaded your Word Document and plan on using it as the background for a grotto like you suggested.
I really appreciate all your thoughtful responses.

Info from Catholic Culture website. It discusses 4 different symbolic forms of His name. I think taking one of those symbolic forms and studying it each week of this month would be a good idea.
Some blogs that have ideas and resources for commemorating the Holy Name of Jesus.
