Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Do you think we would qualify as a homeschool? I have really wanted to get my hands on these books to look at them and this would be a great way without having to purchase them.

Anyone done this?

Debbie -- I'd call them. They're wonderful to work with and all they could say is "no" and you'd be right where you are now! But, then again, they may just say "yes".

Also, check if your parish is using these -- that might be a way to review them -- I'm using F&L2 with my CCD class and I know my parish bought other grades too. If you want a "spine" for religion, F&L is the BEST in my opinion.

Debbie, did you end up calling them? I'm interested in this.

I teach CCD using Faith and life and I adore it. So orthodox, so easy to use, and not dumbed down at all.

I got some review copies by filling in the form. I do run a Catholic homeschooling group here, so perhaps that's why they processed the order.

They look fantastic, BTW!

Are review copies whole books and activities or just sample pages? Either one is fine by me...especially since it's free but I was just wondering.

I got the whole beautiful teacher's manual, the student copy and the activity book for three grades (of my choosing). They look fantastic. I only wish that the conformation prep set had been available for review.

Looks like a so far!

Hmmm..i thought i replied to this one already. Well, i did put an order in and just put homeschool in the area where it asked school or parish name. My order is still being processed and im not sure if they'll tell me i'm not qualified b/c we're homeschooling. It's worth a try. I'll let you all know if my order went through or not.

Thought i'd update what happened to the order. It didnt go through. You cannot receive this if you're just homeschooling. It has to be for a parish or school.

Awwww. That's a bummer. I guess I only got mine because I have a support group of several families... The books are truly fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to order them for your kids.
