Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My Catholic Women's Daily Planner lists this, and I just noticed it on someone's blog as well... can anyone tell me the significance of First Friday? Thanks!

Here is a little information. This page has a snippet from the writings of St. Margaret Mary. There is also a bit more here. We started going to Mass on the First Friday of the month after my grandmother's funeral (which took place on the First Friday of January). We thought is was a fitting way to honor her life and to pray for her soul.
Our church also offers adoration after Mass on the First Friday.
Hope this helps!
