Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have enjoyed watching the miniseries "Teresa of Jesus" on EWTN. I was wondering if anyone has a good recommendation for a biography of St Teresa, which we could read aloud?

Also, would you be able to recommend a good book for young readers?

Rebecca (and I'm sorry I called you Heather!), Daughters of St. Paul had a series called "Encounter"...now it's called "Encounter the Saints". But the old version of St. Teresa of Avila's biography was called "Leaving Matters to God" and I thought it was terrific. It would definitely appeal to your children as a read-aloud, or your older ones could read it. It's longer than most of the Encounter series.

You might have to find a used copy from www.bookfinder.com

Her early life is exciting and fun to follow for children.
