Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just wanted to alert folks to this info I ran across just now. The High Museum in Atlanta is entering into a 3 year partnership with the Louvre to display some of it's wonderful artwork in Atlanta. The exhibit opens in October and goes on for 3 years, but the pieces rotate constantly.
If anyone is close enough, it would be a wonderful experience to see some art most of us just dream of seeing.
Here is a link to the homepage:Louvre in Atlanta
Check it out! I know we will be going!

OOh Theresa, thanks for the headzup! I think we'll be planning a trek to Atlanta, too.

This partnership thing seems to be the new rage. When we were recently in Las Vegas, we discovered that the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna has established a partnership with the Guggenheim, built a museum in Las Vegas and are now showcasing revolving exhibits, too! The exhibit we saw was on Rembrandt-it was great. Not too huge, not too small-audio tours available, and docents. Excedingly well done. I'm sure the High will put on the dog, as well.

Thank you again for letting us know about this wonderful opportunity.

Right, Kelly.
When we went to S.FL for a wedding last year the kids and I were disappointed not to be able to catch the Smithsonian's traveling exhibit of King Tut's Treasures, on loan from Cairo. It was in Fort Lauderdale at the time, but gone now. I am not sure to where.

The next three tour spots are Chicago (where it is currently until Jan. 1, 2007), Philadelphia, and London. There is a website for more information:

Well...I guess that does it for us! Don't see myself in any of those places in the near future, though you never know!
