Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

LegoQuest Kids blog

This is a fun site we have recently discovered.... started by a homeschool mom who posts a monthly lego building challenge. Basically, you are given a challenge to build a particular item with legos you have at hand. Last month the challenge was to build a labyrinth.

Once built, you can send in a picture and see other pictures that kids all over the world have made. Pretty cool, yes?

This has sparked a new round of lego-love at my house

Thank you for posting this site ~

I have been looking for a way to use their extensive Lego collection beyond building ships and castles... and proceeding to do battle!

This looks like even my littlest can be involved.

Blessings,

Adventures With Kids

This site also has a nice list of building ideas to challenge your kids with.
My plan is to write the suggestions on slips of paper and let the kids pick a challenge from a bowl/bag whenever they are looking for something to do.

My kids are really excited to send pictures of their creations to the legoquest site and see them on the computer
