This has kept Paul busy all morning. The program allows him to practice his note reading in the clef of his choice by competing against a clock and beating his own score. Since he switched to viola clef this September, he has been struggling a bit with the note names. This website helps him to read viola clef more quickly. It also has a setting for solfege (do re mi), and plays the note for ear-training help.

MacBeth,
Thanks for the link. My dd was on it this afternoon testing it out. She e-mailed the link to her piano teacher.

Definitely a keeper. Thanks, MacBeth!
I drilled the treble, bass, and viola clefs yesterday. Piano, okay; but, as I suspected, I have totally forgotten the viola (played from 4th-12th grade) . Yikes!

Once my kids are a bit further along this will be great! We only started sharps last week so we have a ways to go. And maybe by the time they are ready for this we'll finally have speakers for the computer.

Hah! I had to beat dd away with a stick to get my computer back!
This site is going to be VERY popular, as dd (bass clarinet) says she really needs to work on her sight reading.
Thanks!

I figured out how to change the settings so the boys can do the drills on just treble or bass and without ledger lines (Those were slowing us way down).
And you don't have to load the audio, although I'd still like to have it.
