Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Ginger Himes

Can anyone share their experience with these videos? Are they worth the money or would the children benefit just the same from books like the Draw Write Now series? It looks like there are several videos available in the series. Any opinions? I am quite art illiterate...

Ages you would recommend for?

Thanks~

I bought Simply Drawing volume 1 because my girls love to draw. They really like them and they are doable alone. We also have the Draw write now series, and they like those too. The one we have I am using for my dc ages 12, 9,7 and 5. I think the first volume is recommended for K-4 or so.

Thank you, Lisa! I think we may try one. I've never heard yea or nay about them until now.

We got several in the series last summer. My children spend long periods with them and turn out really beautiful art work. I think their favorite is the one that teaches pastels.

The instructor is very low key, she reminds of Mr. Rogers. Very detailed and pleasant.

My children like these, too. We have Simply Drawing, Basic Drawing, and Portrait Drawing. I will be buying more as our budget permits.

This is very helpful, thank you Christine and Bridget. I think we will try one. I made a little money recently and I need something for the children so I can get through the first trimester without watching too many Looney Tunes.
