My dd (11) is taking a drama class for co-op. She was asked to find a
piece to work on for the next 4 weeks. It could be a monologue or a
dialogue with her doing the two parts.
We are having troubles finding a suitable one. We have a book of
monologues but she didn't like any of them. She wants to do something
out of a book she has read. She was trying to do something out of
Shadow of a Bear or Black as Night, her two favorite books, but couldn't
really do it. Any suggestions?

My dd has done wonderful monologues and dialogues from Anne of Green Gables. Anne is so naturally dramatic, prone to monologues, and has so many intersting family and friends. The scene in the boat with Anne reading "The Lady of Shalott" is a hoot!
