Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone ordered art prints from University Press?

The prints are $0.26 each, 8x5.5, printed on regular paper.
You can have the prints bound into a book for $2 extra. Shipping over $20 is free.

The site only has a listing of the paintings, not images, so you'd have to know what to order. Also, being printed on paper, the prints may not be too durable. But for twenty-six cents each, it would be a start, and bigger than a post card to look at.

I'm not having much luck these days finding art calendars or used books to buy and cut up, so I'm looking for alternatives...

Melinda,
I ordered a program which included prints from this place. It was called Artistic Pursuits. (I looked for that, but I can't find it in our boxes right now.) However, I remember being a bit disappointed by the prints when I first got it. The actual pictures really are NOT much bigger than a postcard, and they are not glossy & not high resolution. It looked like an old process, not the newest techniques of picture replication.

That said, its only 25cents so what can you expect?

hth,
CK

Hi again,
it was really bugging me, so I found that program again.   The prints are okay. Some are glossy, some are better resolution than others. They are really not much bigger than a postcard. However, for 25 cents, they are pretty good.

And getting a bunch bound into a little book would be very handy!!

One other suggestion, you could try the Phaidon Colour library series. These books have beautiful prints from one artist (sometimes one group such as Impressionists). The boook cd be displayed or even cut up. They are pretty cheap ($10) and paperback
hth,
CK

Thank you! I *thought* I remembered a thread about this place and about some people being disappointed with the quality, but I could not find it. I'm off to check out Phaidon Coulour.
