Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone know of a child-friendly history of Wales?? This is for my 11 yo, a good reader, but sometimes adult books are not appropriate, or they're just much too long and detailed, when I think he wants more of an overview.

A bit obscure, I know--my initial Amazon search did not come up with much!

Hi Angela,

I'm from Wales but I'm ashamed to say I can't think of any books off the top of my head for you to read. You might want to search Amazon UK as they may have more options. In case you don't find a single history book, you could search for specific things and people, such as:

Owain Glyndwr
Llywelyn
Harlech Castle

etc.

I'll see if I have something on my shelves, but my kids are all screaming...gotta run!
