Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have been trying to find a kid friendly site for Italy and wonder if any of you have found a good or better yet a "Great" website to get info when studying different countries.

Thanks for the help!

Our library subscribes to a website called www.culturegrams.com. It has a kids section with kid friendly information for about 60 of the more popular countries. You can get a detailed map of the country, recipes from the country, information about People & Places (land & climate, population, language and religion), History, Lifestyle, Society and Fun Facts. You can listen to their national anthem online and look at pictures of people from the country. If you go to the adult section the information is more detailed and in depth. If your library doesn't subscribe, you could request it. If they won't, it looks like you can get an individual report for each country to download for $4.00.

I've also gone to the United Nations Cyberschool bus website . You can get some general and statistical information about each country from this site. www.cyberschoolbus.un.org Be a little careful though. It can be a bit PC.

I did an internet search and these came up. I've never tried them, but I'm going to add them to my favorites myself for future use.

www.nationalgeographic.com/maps seems to have a lot of good geographical information. You can get satellite maps, aeriel imagery, road maps, earthquake maps, agricultural threats, bioclimactic soil regions, elevation, and tons more.

www.physicalgeography.netlooked like it had a ton of information, but you'd probably need to sort through it yourself.

Good question. I'm curious to see what other sites people are using!

God Bless,

Richelle
