This is a great series- combines history with geography as a family with two youngsters (age 3 and 5) travels the globe.
Each episode lasts an hour. The family explores places all over the world.
Since they are with their children, there is a heavy emphasis on places in each destination that are kid-friendly to explore. There are also little pop up notes about local lore, how much things cost, etc. There is nothing in the dvds that kids shouldn't see, which is not always the case with travel dvds.
My dc are loving this series right now.
Best part? Lots of these episodes are streaming free on Amazon Prime right now.

Travel with Kids
Adding a link here to the 5 dvd boxed set on Amazon for $15.
It has 12 hours of video through several different countries. Great deal and perfect for school.
I didn't realize that the Roberts family has a show on PBS (my station doesn't carry it... yet). They are still traveling the world with their two kids who are now 10 and 12.

Oh my goodness, I am jealous. I would do this if I won the lottery. Pretty sure I typed this same thing on these boards long ago. :)
Melinda, what countries do they visit in the Amazon set?

I hoped it went over well!
There was such a nice piece about Fr. Damien in the section on Molokai.
I was thrilled they included him

I will have to watch that one with him again since I wasn't watching closely. We studied Fr. Damien in our virtues class!
He has seen a lot of them now. The series is a hit :)
