Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone used Story of the Greek People, or Story of the Roman people, When Knights were Bold, or other books by Tappan for World History.(books by Tappan)

They are recommended on the St. Jerome Classical Curriculum plan

I am debating using this plan roughly as an outline without Story of the World. My son is reading When Knights were bold on Mainlesson.com, and enjoys her style. Does anyone have any experience with these books? Or any comments on St. Jerome's plan? Thanks and blessings.

I have used several books by Eva March Tappan in our homeschool--she is one of our favorite authors. I really like her writing.

I've written several posts about her books recently.

Thanks, Kris. I'll take a look! I guess I need to add your blog to my reader. :)

Oh, good to know, Jen! Have any of you used any of the books she wrote about different periods of World History? I also would love to find some of her series, The World's Story. I believe it is out of print. Here are some links with info:

It looks like she pulled together different living stories by various authors for each volume. Looks really neat for MS/HS level!
