Any expereince with this series ? I saw it on a homeschool blog I really like . Our library has a few of the books but not the viking one I was thinking of getting . I also see there are dvd too .

Horrible Histories

I have seen them, but I'm not personally familiar with these. They look a bit like a chapter book version of the "You Wouldn't Want to be a...." series which are a picture book. I have mixed opinions of those. The comic and kind of negative viewpoint is appealing to many kids (ie boys ) and makes it really memorable. I suspect these stories are taking the same angle.

I wonder what their worldview is - if it is revisionist history? And how they handle Church history which is often very biased against in newer materials.
