I've been searching here and Amazon in the hope of finding a terrific resource to help with learning map knowledge. I'm after something pre-planned, ready to go.
Well I've found a couple of resources that I thought to share, feel free to leave comments.
Geography Coloring Book by Wyn Kapit
The Geography Bee Complete Preparation by Matthew Rosenburg Actually does anyone know how much of this is devoted to American geography and how much world?
Then I got really excited and found these books by James Silver;Ready to Use World Geography Activities for Grades 5-12 and Geography Activities ready to use Activities and Skill sheets for Grades 5 -12 the finger was hovering when dh pointed out they were 20 yrs out of date.
then I found these Daily geography practices published by Evan Moore, trouble is there are so many of them and I can only afford one to do all children.
Anyone got any better solutions?

We've been using online geography software from Sheppard Software. Here's the link. Is this what you had in mind?

You may have just saved me a ton of money I tried the level four Sth American quiz and couldn't get it
This is definitely one of the skills I want them to have, to know the countries of the world and their capitals.
I think the dc also want to be tracing maps, but then I do have Uncle Josh's outline maps, I was wondering if that was any different to Geography Colouring Book above.

The maps you linked seem to include more types of maps for each country. Too bad we can't see inside! We use Uncle Josh's for outlining and coloring. Sometimes I make puzzles out of them, too.

Dove tail here....
Does anyone have a good resource for a child's atlas? I looked at a few at my local teachers supply store and I wasn't that impressed.
I just want something that contains maps with enough detail but in a size that is easy to read for them...any suggestions?

Here's a link to an older "atlas" post while you are waiting for responses. Atlas recommendations

Not sure about this resource - the GeoBee covers much world geography so I would assume the prep manual does. The National Geographic website has a daily GeoBee challenge quiz that we have found helpful for a quick geo lesson or review.
