Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

For the past two years I've been trying to get my DD to learn latin. She hates it and her reluctance has kept us from making much progress.

We were at a friend's house today who showed my dd their Ecce Romani textbook and she loved the story format and the illustrations and cultural and historical information that is included. She was very excited and sat with the book this evening and learned the first chapter on her own!

I've done a little bit of searching and it doesn't look like it's very easy to come by. The publisher site indicates that they only sell to schools.

Can anyone direct me to a resource to purchase this?

Calvert School in Baltimore has a Latin course that uses this Latin curriculum. The course costs $160, which I think might include the teaching assistance they give (basically you send tests to them every 20 lessons, and they correct and send back).

Thank you for the information everyone! I see that the student books are more available, but not the Teacher's guide. Is there a resource to purchase the teacher's guide? I feel that I'll need it especially because I have no background in Latin.
