Gauging from the posts in the thread for Round the World Postcard exchange? there seems to be interest in starting some U.S. states postcard exchanges. I thought it would be best to have a separate thread for those of you who are interested in doing a U.S. one, just to keep it all organized.

There have been several U.S. state postcard exchanges initiated through the years here. I pulled a couple of old threads so folks could see the variations.

That is how I think it has generally been done in the past. But in those cases it was one person doing the study and so people posted that they would like to send a postcard to them and the member then PMed the address. If several people all wanted to receive cards from many states, it would make sense for one person to coordinate and collect all addresses privately and then send them to the participating members by PM or something like that.

I am willing to volunteer for that ... although I'm sort of having trouble envisioning how best to coordinate. perhaps if folks let me know what sort of swap we're interested in doing, I can figure out the best way to get addresses exchanged? hopefully? I'm at my part-time job tonight so haven't had much time to ponder this.

but I am willing ... I'm certain of that much, at least!

welcome to the Summer '09 US Postcard Exchange! here is a list of the states participating so far. anyone else want to join in? let me know by the time the forum closes this weekend. everyone who PMs me their addresses (physical and e-mail) will be included. I'll send out the list of physical addresses in a bulk e-mail early next week.

(BTW, if anyone doesn't feel comfortable sending their e-mail address, I can PM you separately. a bulk version would be easier over here, but if privacy is an issue don't let that keep you from joining in.)
