Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just thought I'd share an idea for something we are doing for beginning Spanish. Our library has several Spanish learning dvds for children, so we are watching these, and then writing down words and phrases we learn in a blank notebook. My son actually started writing down words himself, which gave me the idea. It actually seems to be "sticking" better than most workbook work we've tried---easy to go back and review too. Also, very simple and virtually free!

Maybe we will move on to incorporate some songs/writing lyrics in our notebook next . . .
