Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Looking for ideas, crafts, projects, etc. involving the American flag. Have any to share?

With berries in season soon, how about a flag cake?

I remember many resepectful and beautiful flag burning ceremonies to dispose of old flags. Girl Scouts sponsored them and might have a script and ideas of where to get the flag.

Back in Iowa, a 4Her made a very neat flag out of a sheet of corrugated tin. The stripes were painted on the "ribs". It was all done to look old, and was quite impressive. I think it even went to the state fair.

Another neat one I've seen was painted on an old window screen-looked weathered and worn--kind of counrty-ish.

I posted this unit study we did a couple years ago. Some of the ideas might be what you are looking for.
