Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm after a wall map like the ones we had in school. You remember... the ones that roll like a roller blind?

Alternatively, perhaps I could find a set and rig it up to use in a similar fashion?

Ideas? Links?

You could always get a regular paper wall map and glue it to a roller blind, or use clear contact paper.

We picked up a nice laminated set of maps at costco. Not quite what you are looking for but really worth the under $20 price tag. There were different sets but ours included a star map!

I got a nice laminated set from Costco a few years ago. I took a 1" x 2" piece of wood and stapled the top of the maps (one on each side of the wood) to the wood. Then I did the same for the bottom with another piece of 1" x 2". This made the maps rigid. I used white duct tape to cover my staples on the top and bottom sides of the map. I screwed cup hooks into the top wooden piece and hung the maps from the bottom of one of the shelves in the learning room. The kids just flip the maps depending on whether they want to see the world or the US map.

Alternatively, I wish someone here had an idea for a roll up map. I tried and ruined 2 roller shades...failed miserably. This would sure take up a lot less room!
