Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We're classical homeschoolers, and we just wrapped up Ancient Civilizations. Now, we've got a few resources for the Middle Ages, but, as I flip through them in preparation for the coming month, I realize just how vehemently anti-Catholic some of it is.

Can anyone recommend a few good resources for it? Also, my 7-yr-old girl reads at a fourth/fifth grade level and loves big, deep reads, so is there a good book for her to read?

I've some names of saints to research for a deeper Catholic look at the time, but would love if anyone has more recommendations.

This feels like a tricky time in history to teach ... Or it might be my own ignorance. I'm strong in the Ancient Civilizations and then Colonial America, but there's a lot of space in between.

Thanks!

I just noticed the other post about the Middle Ages but I was thinking that my question was more for stuff aimed at the littles.
