Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was wondering what people's thoughts/experiences with history notebooks/timeline books have been.
I've seen some neat resources lately like history scribe and history portfolio and just some neat history notebooking pages that look really cool.
I'm not sure if doing these would put a damper on my kid's interest in history because they had to write about it and thus making it more "schoolish" or if they'd get into it because of the drawing part (which I've seen on many pages)
I think it would be great to increase retention and fun to look back on it and remember what we did.
I know I should just try it and see how they like it with some free pages I found but I was just wondering what others had done with them.
thanks

We have both a timeline book and a history notebook. We use them off and on, sometimes elaborate pages are made, sometimes just a sentence in the timeline, depending on the mood of the day!
