What books would you recommend to study Spanish history?

I have
I Juan de Pareja, Casilda of the Rising Moon, Isabel, Jewel of Castillaand 'Son of Columbus by Hans Baumann'.    

I also have vision books of St Francis of the Seven Seas, St Ignatius and the compnay of Jesusand St Dominic and the rosary . Although I know that Sts Francis and Ignatius aren't Spanish I thought it still fits. I also have Set all afire.

I would love some ideas of other books. Oh and this is for dd13.

The Red Towers of Granada by Geoffrey Trease (out of print, unfortunately) ... set in the thirteenth century, about an English boy who travels to Spain with a Jewish family in search of a rare potion to cure the sick Queen of England.
