Hi ladies,

Some years ago I recall reading an article about a study done in I *think* the 1950s or earlier, about a school where one class did no formal math programme up to about grade 6, while another class did the usual math curriculum, then their mathematical abilities were compared. I have no idea how to find it! Can anyone help me?

Thanks Betsy! I am glad it's not just something I made up. Some unschoolers in my local area keep suggesting unschool type things, but I know isn't modern.
