Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Eat Your Math Homework

I just brought this home from the library. It looks great- probably best for older kids vs. younger, but could be fun to work on together.

The first recipe is Fibonacci Snack Sticks. Who is Fibonacci? I admit I didn't know . Now I do- great story, plus it leaves you with some neat things to think about while you eat your snack sticks.

Other projects are Variable Pi Pizza, Possibility Trail Mix, Fraction Chips, Tessellating Two Color Brownies and Milk and Tangram Cookies.

i can't think of a more fun and tasty way to learn math!
