Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My dd just got her test scores back and she was bordering on below average in math. Math is the bane of her existence, and I'd like to find something for her to work on over the summer. We use MUS and we just finished the Delta book.

Any ideas?

If there's a particular area that she's struggling with I'd just target that.. there's "Keys to..." series that covers things like "Keys to Fractions" that I've heard is very good.. that will let you target a problem area without using a full curriculum.

There are also some workbooks called Developmental Math that we have used in the past to target specific skills. They are a bit hard to find, but worth it. There is also the option of just heading to the teacher's store or supermarket and finding some cheap workbooks there to use. I've found some nice ones at Office Depot, too.
You might also consider something like Math Blaster or Timez Attack, which are computer games, to make it a bit more fun, seeing as it is summer and all.

now, I'm not disagreeing with what the others have said, but it is possible that the things she got wrong in the test were things she just wasn't taught yet, seeing as MUS takes a different approach than most curricula? I would hate to give her MORE math if it was the bane of her existence (lol, thinking of my own dd here) if it's simply that MUS hasn't taught her what a typical public school 4th grade math book has (or whatever grade). I know they get to it all eventually!

You might want to look at Rightstart's Math Games kit. It has games to play for every level of elementary math, that make reviewing and memorizing the facts a lot more fun.
