Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We're planning to do some graphing this week. My K'er loves FIAR; we're doing Peter Rabbit and there's some graphing suggested as a math activity. I'd love to spend more time on this since my second-grader hasn't done any graphing yet. Any great resources out there? Especially on the net? I'm imagining something that provides lots of examples and is fun to look at.

Thanks!

AIMS educational foundation is a great resource for all kinds of activities, but I love the graphing activites.

Graphing Resources

The graphing with M&Ms is great. There was one with valentine hearts. Every year we do the Halloween candy one. You can download just what you want or buy the entire book of resources that the activity is found in. I have found all there activities to utilize higher order thinking skills. My 18 year old grew into writing as well as math using their materials back when she was 4 and used them till she was about 10. Also the graphing activities are great for many ages. A four year old can graph and a 2nd grader can graph as well as utilize different modes of comparison and classification.

I like the Math Start Series which covers various math topics in a picture book format. Lemonade for Sale is an introduction to graphing.

PBS Cyberchase site has this graphing game.
