Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm not sure how these are supposed to be used. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Do you have an album of any kind? The Montessori albums will tell you exactly how & when to present all the materials, plus they are full of ideas for extensions (presentations beyond the basics, which help you get more use for your money!)

There is an on-line math album here but it is partial; I see they have a presentation for the squaring chains, but not the short bead stair.

The short bead stair is used to solidify in the child's mind an understanding of the concepts 1-9, and to begin getting them used to the bead material. Alison's sells a nice stand for them here.

Below is a typical listing of the order of presentation for the basic Montessori math materials. hth

Number rods
Sandpaper numbers
Math process symbol cards (+, -, etc.)
Spindle rods
Numerals and counters
Short bead stair
Snake games
Teen boards
Ten boards
100, 1000 chains
100 board
Squaring chains, cubing chains
Golden beads
Stamp game
Addition dot board
Colored bead bars
Subtraction strip board
Multiplication bead board
Division bead board

thank you. I do not have any albums. I see that nienhuis sells some albums. Are there any that you can recommend. I'm looking for math for my 6 year old.
