Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have tried EVERYTHING I know to do to get my dd to think her way through her math. We have been working on fractions for the end of last year and so far this year. Today she could not even reduce her fraction to simplest form,2/4 to 1/2. We reviewed that and then she knew how to do it fine. We are always having to review things that we covered weeks ago. I do not know what to do. She can do her multiplication on a drill but when she is doing her work and has to recall her multiplication she has no clue and has to use her times table chart.
Is this just laziness? Is it a learning disability? Is it the teacher? I am so frustrated I cannot begin to tell you. We have tried other math programs(Rod and Staff, and workbooks) and have had the same problem.
Please help. I am ready to give up on this altogether...

Age??

I had one like this and we switched to Math U See. It has heaps of review all the time (I even photocopied review pages to use them more than once) as you learn the new topics they never quite leave off the old ones.

Last year we switched from Mastering Math to Teaching Textbooks. Best decision we've made!
