We have been really enjoying this book:


Right in Your Own Backyard: Nature Math

I found it at the library, and it didn't look too exciting from the cover. But inside... beautiful pictures for identifying patterns, fun activities and games... great book! My dc especially loved the section about using spider webs to identify shapes. Outside they are always on the hunt for patterns and shapes in nature.   

We are using it as a fun add on to our RightStart math
