Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am getting ready to order Miquon Math for my 3rd graders who have finished Singapore 2A and 2B. Sonlight recommends that anyone doing Miquon start with the 2nd grade books before doing 3rd grade.

Is this necessary? Why or why not?

Thanks!!!!

Molly,

I used them many years ago and I remember them building on each other. Do you know that they are a bit teacher intensive, at least at first? I don't know if that matters but since you have lots of kiddos, I thought I would mention that. I am not familiar with Singapore so maybe it is and you are used to that.

Thanks Lisa. I was looking for something challenging for my very bright 6 yr old. I don't need teacher intensive. Maybe I will just stick with Singapore.

Molly,

We used Miquon years ago and I also used the Lab Sheet Annotations book... here. I would say that you really need this book to make this program work. I didn't find it to be too intensive....but then again, it has been quite a few years since we have used it.    After using Miquon, we went on to use MathUSee.

Hope this helps.

Marie
