Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have some beautiful (OLD) cuisenaire rods - I'll be buying more of those. I also found geoboards and Base 10 sets in wood at this site. I'm not sure where to get wooden tangrams, though... Our paper ones just didn't last.

I'm pleased to see that the price has come down on the C-rods. I remember purchasing a beginner set almost 10 years ago at over $40. You can get a small group set of 155 rods in a tray for $23 now!

Blessings,

Have you tried searching for wooden pattern blocks or parquetry tiles, rather than tangrams?

The pattern blocks I've seen (e.g. Discount School Supply and Didax) are kind of thick -- 1 cm / 3/8" -- but they might do, depending on what you'll be using them for.

Haba and Melissa & Doug have sets of pattern blocks that come with background pictures (like tangrams), but of course the tiles can be also used on their own.    Their tiles look like they might be a little thinner than the ones above, but I can't tell for sure from the photos.
