Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

In the Gnomes' number tray, the large movable numbers, as seen in this post...I know they are linked in the lesson plans to Alison's Montessori.

Are they the best kind? Are they worth the price? Is there another place that might be...cheaper?

thanks...

Laura--Those are rather expensive and while they are wonderful, I think Katherine already had them in her montessori stock when she opted to use them for the post. Here we are using a set of numbers I cut from wool felt and doubled in thickness. My thought was to stitch the edges really nicely, but alas they are glued and glued they shall remain. You could use numbers from a wooden puzzle or printed on cardstock...loveliness is important, but around here, sometimes we have to make do with what we have.

I used refrigerator magnet numbers. Like Colleen said, we make do with what we have.
