Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Muggins Math Games

Does anyone have any experience with these? I saw them mentioned when I was skimming the Math section in Real Learning last night.

They just seem so expensive! Does anyone know anythnig about the wipe-off ones? Would dragon tears work with the wipe off ones instead of crayons/markers?

thx!

We have Muggins and it is very fun!! I think it is worth the money as it is a solid wood board and neat marbles- if you lose marbles (we haven't yet in 4 years- a small miracle) than you could just replace them.

On the other side of the board is Knockout. Knockout is all about addition and sub., while Muggins gets into all 4 operations!!

It even comes with some cool multi sided dice for your complete math whiz (we have never used them here )

Unfortunately, I've never had or played this, so I'm not going to be much help. But it does look like a quality game and sounds fun. I, personally would consider purchasing it for my children as a Christmas present. I'm always trying to find quality, useful Christmas gifts, anyway. And introducing something like that to our school day mid-winter might help to "brighten" things up a bit.
Just a thought.
