We learned shapes today using Ed Emberley's The Wing on a Flea -- A Book About Shapes -- it's a cute poem with great pcitures 9we have the 1961 version with cool pen line drawings -- check your libraries for hte old one, I like the pictures better but either way, it's a cute way for the younger ones to remember trianlges, circles and rectangles (also a great way to help them with drawing as it forces them to see these shpaes in all different kinds of place....

Another fun shape book is Architecture Shapes by Michael Crosbie. One word per picture but after reading the book my son went on a shape hunting spree in our neighbourhood walks.
